Layers of Me is a photographic project exploring and revealing the hidden layers of living with disabilities that are not immediately visible. Intimate portraits and storytelling create awareness of often overlooked and misunderstood aspects of the subjects’ lives, offering personal insights into their challenges and triumphs. Layers of Me sheds light on misconceptions, combating stigma, and fostering empathy by offering a more nuanced perspective.
By sharing these personal stories, Layers of Me strives to create a dialogue about inclusion, accessibility, and understanding of the emotional, mental, and physical layers that shape daily reality for those living with hidden disabilities. By encouraging a shift in societal attitudes, Layers of Me promotes greater acceptance of the diverse experiences that make us who we are.
